Taking universal ethical rules as its reference point

OYAK Cement continues to be a reputable and exemplary organization with the importance that it has given to universal human rights and ethical values from past to present, conducting its activities as per ethical values and competition culture. In line with its vision, mission and values, the company carries out its activities by keeping the principles of transparency, integrity, excellence and trustworthiness, and customer and employee well-being in mind, leading the industry by expanding the usage areas of cement and focusing on efficiency, creativity, and profitability.

TEiD was founded in 2010 with the purposes of increasing awareness in Turkey regarding the effective management of ethics and compliance risks, improving accountability and transparency, and making work ethics an indispensable part of the culture of companies operating within our country. Today, TEiD carries on its work with more than 160 corporate members who are the leaders of their industries, accounting for 15% of Turkey’s GNP and employing over 400,000 employees. Acting with the vision that factors such as responsible citizenship across the world, effectiveness of sustainable production policies and innovation policies, compliance with ethical rules, and reputation are as important as financial statements for defining the success of a company, TEiD also takes on the task of coordinating private industry by drafting the anti-corruption agreements to which the Republic of Turkey is party before the UN and OECD. Moreover, TEiD plays an active role in ensuring that globally considered values in terms of the management of ethical risk are applied in Turkey too, and accordingly works as a representative of TRACE International Turkey and the Global Ethics Network, and a member of the European Business Ethics Network, the Basel Institute on Governance Work Group, the OECD Anti-Corruption Work Group, and the Regional Advisory Committee.
