1963  

OYAK participates in the capital increase of Çukurova Cement, making its first investment in the cement industry, and purchases 52% of shares. The company is renamed Adana Cement in 1986.  

1969  

It partners with Bolu Cement and becomes a founding partner in Ünye and Mardin Cement.  

1992  

OYAK and Sabancı Groups acquire Niğde Cement for USD 22.5 million and İskenderun Cement for USD 61.5 million during the privatization period.  

1996  

Elazığ Cement is incorporated into OYAK for USD 27.9 million.  

2002  

OYAK acquires the remaining 50% of Adana Kağıt Torba’s shares, 50% of whose shares were purchased by Adana Cement in 1998, and changes the name of the company to OYKA Kağıt Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.  

2003  

OYAK acquires the remaining 50% of Adana Kağıt Torba’s shares, 50% of whose shares were purchased by Adana Cement in 1998, and changes the name of the company to OYKA Kağıt Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. OYSA Niğde and OYSA İskenderun, the association companies of OYAK and Sabancı, are merged under the roof of Niğde and named OYSA Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.  

2004  

OYAK Concrete is established with a cash capital contribution from OYAK and the in-kind capital contribution of Adana, Bolu, and Ünye Cement.  

2006  

Elazığ Cement is sold to Çimentaş Group for a net price of USD 110 million and the company is valued at USD 128 million.  

2007  

In line with the Competition Authority’s decision, OYSA Cement is sold to Sabancı Group and OYSA İskenderun Grinding Plant is sold to Adana Cement.  

2009  

The integrated cement factory, nine ready-mixed concrete plants, and three aggregate quarries belonging to Lafarge Marmara Group are acquired for a net price of EUR 130.3 million. The closing transactions are finalized on December 30, 2009.  

2014  

The closing transactions of Denizli Cement belonging to Eren Holding and CRH, and its fully-owned subsidiary Modern Beton, are finalized on November 10, 2014.  

2015  

Adana Cement, Mardin Cement, Bolu Cement, Denizli Cement, Ünye Cement, Aslan Cement, OYAK Concrete, Modern Beton, and OYKA Kağıt Ambalaj shares are transferred to OYAK, and OYAK Çimento A.Ş. is established on December 3, 2015.
